Cashtonites won't have to travel far for this year's dairy breakfast.
For the second time in Monroe County Dairy Breakfast history, Trescher Town-View Dairy will serve as host for the celebration of all things milk-related.
The farm, owned by Steve and Annette Trescher, sits inside village limits on the northwest side of Cashton.
The Trescher's last hosted 28 years ago in 1998. Their son Derek and daughter Kori were just 9 and 6 years old. Now, Derek and Kori have their own families, which will add eight to the official dairy breakfast family portrait.
"One of the things I'm really looking forward to is sharing the day with our family," said Annette. "Now, we will be sharing it with our grandkids. That part to me is going to be special."
The Monroe County Dairy Breakfast, now in it's 45th year, made the host announcement on facebook March 11. Menu and event details will be released closer to the event, which will take place on Saturday, June 6.
"Plan to come and have a great breakfast, spend some time visiting with folks, and maybe learn a thing or two," said Annette.
