"When you think of cross country you think running in the woods and the countryside, that is what the Blair-Taylor meet offered our runners with the majority of the course in the woods running over pinecones," said Cashton head coach Jim Herricks following Tuesday's meet.
The Cashton girls brought home its second team title of the season after scoring 19 points.
June Jacobson earned a first place finish (23:09), Makalya Herricks was third (23:52) followed by Lynae McGinnis in sixth (26:46), Adeline Doll in eighth (28:14) and Ruby Schmitz placing 10th with a time of 29:55.
The boys fielded a full team and placed third (66) behind a sixth place effort by Kevin Cuenca Romero (20:34). Klay Pedretti (13, 21:58), Cyprian Klein (19, 23:37), Kolton Johnson (21, 24:40) and Nathan Olseon (24, 25:24) rounded out the scoring.
