In anticipation of their 50th year, the Frogtown Sports Club is testing out the addition of Thursday night softball, which will extend the annual Frog Days festivities to four days.
Co-ed and men’s softball tournament will begin on Thursday, July 30, with the first pitch at 6:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be available.
Also new this year will be fireworks on Friday night, weather permitting.
Friday’s regular events will include day two of the softball tournaments, along with cold beverages and concessions.
The big day is Saturday, which will kick off with a 5k run/walk, continuation of the softball tournament, a volleyball tournament, frog races, and inflatables.
Kid’s frog race times are approximately 4 p.m on Saturday and Sunday. Adult frog races are around 9 p.m. on Saturday night, and also Sunday afternoon. The relay race will follow the last frog race of the evening on Saturday.
On Sunday, there will be charcoal chicken from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. or sold out, along with more softball and frog races.

ST. MARY’S RIDGE 3D BOW SHOOT
The St. Mary’s Ridge Sportsmen Club’s 22nd annual 3D bow shoot is taking place Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18.
Last year, the extra Friday shooting opportunity was added and will continue this year for two days of action. The event will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
The approximately mile-long 3D Rinehart 28-target walking archery course will be set-up on neighboring land adjacent to St. Mary’s Ridge church grounds on County Highway U between Cashton and Norwalk. Children 12 years of age and younger shoot free.
In additional to the walking course, both days there will be side board raffles, 50/50 raffles, and food available for purchase.
The club will be raffling off a hunting blind that was built under the instruction of Dale Radcliffe by the Cashton High School construction class.
On Saturday, raffles and prizes will be awarded at 5 p.m, winners need not be present. Food will start being served at 9 a.m. with carryouts available.
COULEE ANTIQUE ENGINE CLUB ANNUAL SHOW
The Coulee Antique Engine Club’s 55th annual show takes place July 31 – August 2, two miles north of Westby, on Hwy 27.
This year’s show features Allis Chalmers and vintage power sports.
There will also be displays of gas engines and power units, an anvil shoot, a flea market, threshing and sawmill demonstrations, lawn & garden, kids activities, food, antique tractor pull, mini tractor pull, and more.
The antique tractor pull takes place on Friday at 6 p.m. On Saturday, American Mini Pullers will begin at 3 p.m.
Car and truck show will be Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Food is available at the Hit & Miss Café, plus pie, ice cream, and sweet corn.
Gates open at 8 a.m. every day and admission is $7 per day; $10 for the weekend.
