The Wisconsin Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense (DoD) office, announced that Elizabeth Filter, President of the Vernon Area Rehabilitation Center (VARC), Inc. located in Viroqua was honored on March 21st with a Patriot Award in recognition of her extraordinary support of her employee, Staff Sergeant Risa Mauss serving in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
