On January 28th, the Monroe County Land Conservation Department hosted a Land Stewardship Awards Banquet, to recognize and celebrate the 2022 Conservation Farmer, Conservationist, and Tree Farmer of the Year. The celebration was held at the American Legion in Sparta.

The winners being celebrated for 2022 are as follows:

-Conservationist of the Year– Carol & Ned Gatzke.
