November 9, 2022
A barn being converted into a creative music venue, an animal shelter that has rescued over 5,000 pets, and a thriving cranberry farm. These important stories of Monroe County are being featured in the latest Uniquely Wisconsin video launch.
“Monroe County is literally at the crossroads of our state, and we are so proud of the rich history and incredible stories of what happens here every single day,” said Monroe County Administrator Tina Osterberg. “We are so excited to be a part of the Uniquely Wisconsin brand and believe these three stories highlight what makes our county so special.”
Built upon generations of rich storytelling from Discover Wisconsin, this new brand, Uniquely Wisconsin, is highlighting the stories of the people, the culture and the history of our state, sprinkled in with a bit of economic development and tourism.
Monroe County will be highlighted in the Uniquely Wisconsin program and coverage includes a two-part broadcast documentary, a streaming docuseries, social and digital stories, and an appearance on “The Cabin” podcast.
The Monroe County stories include: Barn Restoration: Music Before the Making, Wisconsin Animal Rescue: Chasing Daylight, and Wetherby Cranberry Farm.
Uniquely Wisconsin utilizes video, broadcast television, audio, podcasts and social media to tell the stories of local communities. The stories highlight families, community groups/activities, community kindness, those in the service and hospitality industry, artists and creators and vision for the future.
