At the Monroe County Board meeting last Wednesday, It was discussed to hire a full-time agronomist within the Monroe County Land Conservation Department. Earlier this year it was discussed about the discontinuation of the UW- extension program and a full-time livestock agent. The UW- extension livestock agent position and cropping position will now cover four counties. Bob Micheel, Land Conservation Department Head said, “It seems like less is more in the state’s eyes."
