Kick the Can in Clinton, A Brief History
This fall, in the Town of Clinton, we will have to cut services - a lot, or increase the levy - a lot, or quite a bit of each. Here’s why.
For eight years prior to 2018, the Town of Clinton levy, the only revenue stream we control, was virtually frozen. The budget was so tight that we raised the levy by $31,800 for 2019. Despite this raise, the budget was still short $25,000. We took $25,000 from cash reserves to balance it.
