I read the obituary of Jon Torkelson with great sadness. He has been a good friend for 75 years. I first met Jon when I moved to Cashton when I was 11 years old. Jon was three years older, a freshman in high school. We both lived in town and Jon taught me how to play basketball. I lived in an apartment across from the Community Hall and during the off-season Sevent Edmonds, the town marshall, would open the Hall and let us play basketball most every day. By the...
