It was burning a hole in my pocket. Actually, the dress I had on didn’t have a pocket, so I clutched a hankie in my hand. That hankie had a quarter tied in its corner. I am not sure how I managed to have any money at all. Mom and Dad did not give out money willy nilly. I may have gotten it from Uncle Clarence.
