The Sparta Police Department has made an arrest in the death of 32-year-old Sara Latimer of Sparta.
On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, Sparta officers responded to Jefferson Avenue in the City of Sparta for an unresponsive female. Upon their arrival, law enforcement found Sara Latimer deceased.
On Friday, June 10, 2022, 32-year-old Shawn Hock of Sparta was arrested in connection with the case. The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office has filed the following charges against Hock:
