I made my first Hickory Nut Pie (a.k.a. pecan pie) for a friend. Sounds like it was a big hit. Enjoy!

Hickory Nut Pie

3 eggs

1 cup light Karo syrup

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

Pinch of salt

1-1/2 cups hickory nuts

1 unbaked 9” pie shell

In a medium bowl beat eggs. Mix in Karo syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla, and salt. Stir in hickory nuts. Pour in pie shell. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 60-70 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. You can use pecans instea...
