Vernon Memorial Healthcare (VMH) recently made a $2500 donation to Westby EMS, which will enable the organization to purchase a LUCAS compression device. The device supplies consistent and automatic chest compressions during CPR.
Westby EMS Chief Kevin Dean reports the group had been fundraising for the last year and a half to purchase the device. A recent, large donation from the local "Power of 100" group had put them very close to their goal.
