The dream of a WIAA state tournament berth for the Viroqua/Cashton girl’s hockey team came up one game short of the goal with a 7-2 loss to the Madison Area Metro Lynx in a Sectional final game last Saturday night.
The Blackhawks-road-to-state, as reported in last week’s Cashton Record, began with a dominating 11-0 home ice victory over Beaver Dam in round 1 of the WIAA playoffs.
