On February 21, 2022, at 7:48 A.M. the Vernon County Dispatch Center received a report of a two-vehicle crash, at the intersection of Prairie Edge Rd. and Seasbranch Rd. in the town of Viroqua. 16-year-old, Jacob Larson from rural Viroqua was traveling north on Prairie Edge Rd. Larson failed to stop at the stop sign striking a westbound pick-up truck towing a horse trailer. The pick-up truck was operated by Brooke Strangstalien, age 30, of rural Chaseburg and her two passengers.
