The Cashton Village Board discussed the status of a well that had slowed in pumping capacity at the last regular board meeting held on Wednesday, Feb. 2.

Public works director Dave Bekkum said that the pump had been pulled and a hole was discovered, which led to the installation of a new pump, piping, motor etc. at a cost of around $65,000, though the final bill had not yet been received.
