Bernice Agnes (Hemmersbach) Brueggen, 89, of Cashton, WI, passed away January 21, 2022, at the Tomah Care Center in Tomah, WI.

Bernice was born November 9, 1932, to Hubert and Gertrude (Haas) Hemmersbach. She attended grade school in Melvina near her home farm on the ridge and in 1950 graduated from Cashton High School. Bernice was united in Holy Matrimony to Norman Brueggen October 2, 1951. Norman and Bernice owned Brueggen's Service Station in Cashton, and they worked together until their retirement. When she wasn't busy at the station, Bernice loved quilting and crocheting items for around the house. No one could best her chocolate chip cookie recipe which she loved preparing for all her family members over the years. Her family fondly remembers taking Sunday rides with mom exploring the back roads in the greater Cashton area and the quiet time at home where she could often be found listening to soothing music including songs by Daniel O'Donnell. She will be missed.
