Eagle wrestlers picking up momentum as season rolls along

December 29, 2021

The Eagles traveled to Adam’s-Friendship for their first Quad of the year. First team competition of the night was SPASH (Stevens Point Area Senior High) and the Eagles were put to a good test.

We had some very tight matches in the lower weights and our team tried their best to help our young squad. Claiming pins and wins for the Eagles was Onesimo Tirado, Ethan Klinkner, Brett Hemmersbach, Colin O’Neil, Jack Schreier, and Austin Culpitt. Cashton came up jut short with a score of 33-42.

The Eagles took the mat for the second dual knowing they had to bounce back against Adams Friendship, and they answered the call getting crucial wins and pins where needed!

Austin Culpitt, Onesimo Tirado, Ethan Klinkner, Colin O’Neil, Jack Schlesner, and Jack Schreier. After the smoke cleared the Eagles were victorious with the score of 36-33.

The last dual of the night was against Princeton/Green Lake and the Eagles finished strong.

Getting the wins for the Eagles were Kaleb Klinkner, Abraham Harter, Ethan Klinkner, Brett Hemmersbach, Colin O’Neil, Jack Schlesner, Jack Schreier, and Austin Culpitt. They won the match 48-22.

This was a great night for the Eagles to see great competition in dual performance. The Eagles are 4-1 as a dual team so far this year. Look for them to update their performances at the Bi-State Classic this week.
