164 of 452 miles on interstate highway scheduled to b built in Monroe County are complete. The remainder will be constructed as soon as funds are available.

A tax levy increase of 21.4% (39,000) was approved by the Cashton Village Board.
Cashton’s Jean Leis took top honors in the all-around competition as Cashton won the three-team gymnastics meet at Cashton. Jody Larson placed second in the all-around.

Maple Valley, an organic cooperative of around 27 farmers, is producing high quality maple syrup and other products right in downtown Cashton.
The Cashton High School Band traveled to La Crosse to perform under the Rotary Lights at Riverside Park.
