As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I was able to gather with family and we started sharing recipes. Thanks, Rita, for the great pot roast recipe idea.

Mississippi Pot Roast

1 (3 pound) chuck roast

1/2 (12 oz.) jar pepperoncini

1 stick butter

1 (1 oz.) packet au jus gravy mix

1 (0.4 oz) packet ranch dressing mix

Salt and pepper to taste

Combine roast, pepperoncini, butter, au jus mix, ranch dressing mix, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker. Cook on low until fork tender, about 8 hours.
