1960S CHRISTMAS DISPLAY AT HISTORY ROOM IN SPARTA… It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – of the 1960s – at the Monroe County Local History Room and Museum in Sparta. Starting Monday, November 22nd at 6:30 p.m., visitors can time travel to the not-so-distant past by viewing the History Room’s special Christmas display, “A Swinging ‘60s Christmas.” The museum display, “A Swinging ‘60s Christmas,” runs from November 23rd through January 8th. Special opening reception from 6:30-8 on Monday, November 22nd. The Monroe County Local History Room is located at 200 West Main Street, Sparta. Regular museum hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 9-4. Keynote speech by Author of Waking Up White, Debby Irving - live streamed from la Crosse in the upstairs Bank of Cashton community room from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Sunday, December 5

Trinity Lutheran Church will hold their Christmas worship at 10 a.m. with the music of “Leather and Lace” polka band. All are welcome!

Jolly Joiners 4-H Club will meet at 2 p.m. in the high school cafeteria with decorating the 4-H Park and Town square Christmas tree to follow.

Tuesday, December 7

The Library Knitters will meet at the Cashton Library on a weekly basis from 1 to 3 p.m.

Saturday, December 11

To ensure that all children in Cashton have an opportunity to say hello to Santa the Cashton Community Club is holding a Holiday parade. Check out next week’s paper for the map with the final destination being the Cashton Elementary School. Please stand outside and wave to Santa as he drives by on one of the Cashton Fire trucks. The parade will start at 11 a.m. at the Cashton Fire Station.

Tuesday, December 14

The Library Knitters will meet at the Cashton Library on a weekly basis from 1 to 3 p.m.

Wednesday, December 15

The Cashton VFW and VFW Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. at the clubrooms.
