Vehicle fire on Hwy. 27

On Saturday, November 7th, 2021, at approximately 4:00 PM the Vernon County Dispatch Center was notified of a vehicle fire at the intersection of State Highway 27/ US Highway 14. The fire was contained to the passenger side wheel well and extinguished prior to emergency units arriving. The Viroqua Fire Department assisted at the scene. The owner of the vehicle was Seth Rooney, age 39, of Chippewa Falls.
None of the vehicle occupants were injured as a result of the fire.
