We had already spent 2 hours working in the barn milking and feeding the cows. Now it was time to feed ourselves. Most “normal” people were just crawling out of bed. I looked down at the plate before me. This was the breakfast that was a cardiologist’s nightmare. The bacon and eggs glistened with grease and butter was melting on the toast. This was a stick to your ribs meal which we needed to complete the grueling chores facing a farmer each day.
