Community support for local Emergency Responders helped LUCAS save a life

In January of 2021, the communities surrounding Cashton that make up the Cashton Area Fire District, stepped up and helped the Cashton Fire and First Responders purchase a LUCAS (automated CPR compression machine) to help our First Responders with cardiac arrest situations.
In February, due to community generosity and donations, the department was able to purchase the life-saving piece of equipment and it didn't take long for LUCAS (Lund University Cardiac Assist System) to make an impact....
