Wednesday, July 28

Cashton Memorial Library will hold “Tales on the Lawn” at 10 a.m. for Preschool/kindergarten w/caregiver. Bring along a blanket to sit on to enjoy our tales of tails. You will love this summer story time featuring all kinds of animal stories and activities! There may even be a few surprise guests!!

Cashton Memorial Library with the help of 4-H and UW-Extension will be bringing science learning with team-building, leadership, and FUN from 12:30 to 2 p.m. for grades 3-5! Plan to build rockets, circuits, and other STEM projects. Bring along your creativity as well as your problem-solving skills. Please register by calling the Cashton Library at 654-5465 by June 1st.

Norskedalen Summer Music Series… “Music in the Valley” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. FREE ADMISSION. July 28 - Dublin’s Daughters.

Learn the basics of crochet at the library this summer through the months of June and July! Starting at 1 p.m. our experienced instructor will show you how to get started making simple projects to take home. Crochet hooks and yarn are supplied.

Saturday, July 31

Free Music in the Park at West Fork Sports Club, S3649 Cty. Rd. S, Avalanche, from 7 to 10 p.m. rain or shine. Bring lawn chairs & blankets. Membership not required for music portion of the evening. The Knockabouts will play.

Monday, August 2

Cashton Flag Football will hold their registration meeting at 6PM in the Village Park. $20 per athlete - includes t-shirt. First practice on Mon., Aug. 16th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. next to the softball field. Boys and girls in 2, 3, & 4 are PeeWee division. Boys and girls in 5 & 6 grade are Junior Division. Cashton Community Blood Drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cashton Community Hall at 811 Main St. Appointments preferred at Sponsor code: eagles or call 608-609-0385. Your donation to save lives also support Cashton High School Football. As part of the summer Red Cross High School Club Program, the Cashton football team will receive a $10 award per blood donation once 30 pints are collected. The award dollars are available to be used toward equipment related items for the team. All presenting donors receive a free coupon for a pint of Culver’s Custard while supplies last!

Frogtown Sports Club will hold their annual Frog Days celebration in Melvina. 25 & over men’s softball tournament, Adult Frog Races Saturday night & Sunday Afternoon, Kids frog races Saturday & Sunday afternoon, Kids events including inflatables on Saturday & Sunday from noon to 4, Volleyball on Saturday, Team Relay Event on Saturday night, cold beer & pork sandwiches all weekend. Charcoal chicken on Sunday.

Music in the Valley… Stargazing at Norskedalen… This summer the Cashton Memorial Library will team up with Norskedalen to bring you an evening exploring the beauty of the night skies. UWL Planetarium director, Robert Allen, will be our guide to the stars from the tranquil location of Norskedalen, located near Coon Valley. The event begins at 5:30. Free admission! Food for purchase. Star gazing and s’mores begin at dusk. Bring your own telescope if you would like.
