It was an old, “pedally thing” that I guess dad pulled out of the dump one year when we were kids. He saw something in it worth salvaging.

Not everything we try to fix or rebuild works out. Dad, though, found a way to make things work. And with six kids to keep occupied he did it on a strict budget. Free from the dump likely fit the family budget at the time.
