Property concerns may force Village to alter alley improvement plan

There was some concern brought to the attention of the Cashton Village Board last week, that the specific rules on alternate side parking that goes into affect this year in Cashton have not been publicized. Village Clerk, Tammy Bekkum pointed out that signs have been posted and a notice appeared in the Cashton Record. The parking ordinance went into affect on December 1, and runs through April 1.

An alleyway that provides access to driveways of residents on both Main Street and Front Street in Cashton may not get the overhaul planned as part of a Main Street reconstruction project.

That was the final discussion point on the matter at last week's Cashton Village Board meeting held on Dec. 2.
