Tyler Townsend Von Ruden
November 11, 2020
On the cool crisp morning of Friday, November 6, 2020, Tyler Townsend Von Ruden, 21, of rural Cashton/Westby, WI, decided he couldn't win this fight we call life and gained his wings.
Tyler was born to Chad and Jacqueline (Townsend) Von Ruden, November 25, 1998, in Austin, TX. He was born a very gifted and talented boy who graduated from high school a year early.
Tyler had a good heart and a sweet soul. He was kind and gentle with people who he let be close to him. Traveling to Texas was one of the things he always looked forward to doing. Playing a new video game with his online friends and listening to techno/industrial music was how he liked spending his days. But the love he had for family was unbreakable. He truly appreciated the small things. When he was little "the chair of no return" was a favorite game with his dad. Halloween was always a favorite day. From Spanish lessons with Grandpa Todd and fishing with Grandpa Dave, "remember one thing" with Grammy to "smells like rainbows" with Mom and Adam, he always brought a smile to the face of anyone around him. He gave freely of himself and just knew when others needed him.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Chad (Kathy Dusso) Von Ruden of rural Westby, WI; and Jackie (Adam) DeMinter of Oxford, WI; brother, Parker Von Ruden of Oxford, WI; grandparents, David and Cheryl Von Ruden of Loyal, WI; Todd and Lori Wright of Oxford, WI; Great-grandparents, Sonny and Sharon Nemitz; Aunts and Uncles: Kim Stone, Janet (Joe) Cruz, Mike (Michelle) Von Ruden, Jason (Jennifer) Von Ruden, Amanda (Chris) Patten, Brittany (Zach) Floeter, and Jaden Wright; along with many other loving great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, John and JoAnn Townsend.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, November 10, 2020, 1:00 PM, at the Torkelson Funeral Home, 720 Wisconsin Street, Cashton, WI. Pastor George Shick will officiate. Family and friends were invited for visitation on Monday, November 9, 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in Tyler's name to the Cashton First Responders.
