On October 3, the state of Wisconsin set a new record for single day positive test results for COVID 19 with 2,892 people confirmed to be infected with the novel virus. The number surpassed the previous record, set just two days earlier on October 1, of 2,887. Also, on October 3, there were 19 new deaths recorded as a result of the virus, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
