Absentee voting on the rise amidst COVID-19 threat

 


So far, the scheduled election set for April 7 will be held as planned. But that doesn’t mean the COVID-19 threat is being taken lightly by either the voters, government agencies, or poll workers.

As of Monday afternoon, Cashton Village Clerk Tammy Bekkum said the village office had received 70 absentee voting ballots, “And they keep rolling in,” she said. Typically, about nine absentee ballots are cast for local elections.
