The branch train ran into a car driven by Gerald V. Weber on the crossing near the schoolhouse about 6 p.m. Wednesday. Weber, driving his father’s car, met another car near the crossing and was forced toward the side of the road. He became stalled on the snow-covered ice with the front half of the car on the tracks.
The heaviest snowfall of the winter started about 8 a.m. Wednesday and continued until mid-afternoon, piling up about 4-1/2 inche...
