Orvin Glenn Lee, 73, of Cashton, WI, passed away peacefully at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, Monday, August 26, 2019, after a short battle with lung disease. He was surrounded by his entire, loving family.

Orvin was born in La Crosse, WI, on October 31, 1945, to Otis I. and Gertrude L. (Paulsrud) Lee. He grew up on the family farm near Portland and started farming at age 15, due to the loss of his father. He attended Clements Grade School and graduated from Cashton High School in 1963.

Orvin married Margaret A. Klinkner December 2, 1967, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on St. Mary’s Ridge, rural Norwalk. They were blessed with four loving children.

Orvin enjoyed all of the opportunites and challenges that farming had to offer. He retired and sold the farm in 2004. He always had a great sense of humor, was never short of a good joke and he could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. Orvin was a man of many hobbies including, fishing, hunting, small engine and machinery repair, playing cards and riding his red, Can-Am Spyder motorcycle with his sweetie on the back.

Orvin taught important values to his children and grandchildren about Faith, Family, Farming, Fishing, Fixing AND Fun.

Orvin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret “Margie” of Cashton; children, Michele Lee (Patrick Woodworth) Tomanhauser of Black River Falls, Roxane (Brian) Schmitz of Norwalk, Tim (Cathy) Lee of Lake Villa, IL, and Matt (Joliene) Lee of Cashton; grandchildren, Nathan (Megan), Brandon, Jaden, and Katelyn Schmitz, Joshua, Nicholas and Alexis Lee, Lauralee (Tyler) Nolte, Lindsee (Jake Helmstetter) Tromanhauser, Colton and Clayton Lee; great grandchild, Brecken Nolte; sisters, Jan (Vern) Jenson of Eau Claire, and Carol (David) Sorenson of Westby; brothers-in-law, Ed (Kay) Klinkner, Arnie (Linda) Klinkner, Paul (Geralyn) Klinkner, Gerry (Ann) Klinkner; sisters-in-law, Rita (Kent) Ferrier, and Bonnie (Dan) Pedersen; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.

Orvin was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Gertrude (Paulsrud) Lee; step-dad, Everett Weber and mother and father-in-law, Leonard and Bernadine Klinkner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 30, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Middle Ridge, WI. Monsignor Robert Hundt will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation, Thursday, August 29, 2019, beginning with a Rosary at 3:45 p.m. and concluding at 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Middle Ridge. Visitation will also be held Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The Torkelson Funeral Home of Cashton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be made in Orvin’s name to the St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
