Week of Friday, August 26, 1949
An unusual accident happened at 1:30 a.m. Thursday when a car jumped the curb in front of the Bank of Sparta and rammed into the building, badly damaging the front end of the car and chipping the bank pillars. Norbert Degenhardt had parked his 1949 Olds along the curb and had stepped out momentarily.
Another stolen car incident turned up in Cashton this week. But this time the swiped vehicle was recovered here instead of being spirited from a loc...
