Week of Friday, July 8, 1949

The best comic entry in Coon Valley’s centennial celebration parade Monday was the Cashton German band. They represented Red Fencl’s service shop of Coon Valley. The personnel of the group was as usual, with five Steenbergs and Leck Mitby making the music and Ken Curran as the high-stepping conductor.

Farewell parties were held Tuesday evening for the Revs. L.H. Timmerman and Urban J. Baer, who have been transferred to other parishes.
