It was the second of two hand-made baby blankets. The first was a colorful quilt with shapes and toys sewn into its pattern. The second, beautifully knitted, was the one that made Mrs. Me cry.

Saturday we gathered with family and friends at the Cashton park in the small shelter next to the playground for our daughter’s baby shower. Rain was in the forecast for the afternoon, but it would turn out to be a fairly nice day with only a few showers late, but after we had packed up.
