New Bank of Cashton building just one piece of a bigger puzzle


This "Bandit barrier" from the 1930s will be on display at the new bank in the history room. It currently sits in the basement of the Bank of Cashton where few can see it. It was moved from the original bank where the Cashton Village offices are located now.

If one were asked, "What building in downtown Cashton best represents the community and local history?" The answer might be, "The Cashton Community Hall."

So, it is interesting to see that monument to the village reflected in the design for the new Bank of Cashton building expected to open sometime next summer, or late fall.

It's also not surprising that the plans for the new bank building include a space for a small, local history room.

But a new bank building is just one piece of a puzzl...
