Keith Wang, 66 of La Crosse, WI, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, at UW Hospital in Madison, WI. Keith was born October 5, 1952, the son of Wallace and Emily (nee Hehn) Wang, in La Crosse, WI.

Keith attended Cashton Public schools and graduated in 1970. He was the sports editor for the Cashton Record 1969-70. Keith served his country for 8 years in the U.S. Navy. He was a very proud veteran.

Keith loved farming, but never owned his own. He did work for several other farmers. Keith was an over the road truck driver. He spent the many years as a driver with Eagle One, delivering medications to area Nursing Homes and the last few years he drove for Tim Neubauer trucking.

Keith was a member of the La Crosse American Legion and the Moose Lodge of La Crosse. He was an avid stock car racing fan. He also enjoyed World of Outlaw Sprint cars. Keith and Kelly helped sponsor several race cars at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway for many years.

Keith enjoyed his grandchildren very much and Papa was known to spoil them. After Keith's uncle, Victor Schwandt, passed away in 1997, he took over the mowing of the Portland German Lutheran Cemetery. The first year he said he thought it would kill him and thereafter he thought it's what kept him alive. He took great pride in the upkeep and enjoyed the feeling of a job well done. (Kelly, thanks for all your help) Keith was proud to have been sober 31 plus years, taking 1 day at a time.

Keith married Kelly Maloney on June 12th, 1993. Keith had two previous marriages.

Keith is survived by his wife Kelly Maloney-Wang of La Crosse; sons, Jason (Jesica) Wang, and Jamie Wang; five daughters, Kristina (Jason) Stoner, Janet (Eric) Scott, Kira (Les) Beier, Mermani Maloney-Wang (Nick Zielke), and Tashina Maloney (Donni Littlejohn), almost daughter, Michelle (Scott) Peterson; two sisters, Kris Wang (Sandy Timmons) and Karen (Jay) Hall; grandchildren, Quentin, Cooper, Carlo, and KayCee Potenzini, Jonah Stoner, Julien, Laylah, Ashton Parkes and Savannah & Harrell Beier, Hailey & Samantha Hanson, Tristen & Hailey Zielke, Isaiah & RaeLynn Denning and Jeffrey Beier, Jr, Pandora & Saphyre Littlejohn, Lilly & Logan Wang, Collin and Haley Ogle, Jase Scott ,; his step-mother, Vera Wang; aunt, Carol Hehn of Cashton; step-sisters, Pam (Bobby) Kast and Candy Ives; step-brothers, Bruce and Merold Ives; step-children, Rebecca Biesek (Dan) and Leo Drinkwine (Loren);along with many close friends and several trucking buddies.

Keith was preceded by his parents Wallace and Emily Wang; sister, Iris Wang Flynn; grandson, Chester Potenzini; father-in-law, James Maloney; step-brother, Mark Ives; and several aunts and uncles and many close friends.

A Celebration of Keith’s life, with full military honors, will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Onalaska United Methodist Church, 212 4th Ave. N, Onalaska, WI 54650. Burial will follow in the Portland German Lutheran Cemetery, Portland, WI. Family and friends are invited for visitation Friday, April 26, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton. Visitation will also be held on Saturday at the church from 10 AM until the time of service.

Dress code is casual. Acceptable attire would be shorts, flip-flops, Hawaiian shirts and headbands.
