Thousands without power as ice storm and high winds rip through the area

Crews battle conditions through to night to get lights back on

Last Wednesday and Thursday a destructive weather phenomena that produced snow, freezing rain, sleet, hail and rain had the area under siege for about 36 hours. High winds, lightening and thunder also made for dangerous traveling conditions. Both I-90 and highway 27 were closed for a short time due to traffic accidents.
