Patricia Jean (Hole) Zietlow

February 27, 2019

Patricia Jean (Hole) Zietlow of Naperville, IL passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Friday, February 22, 2019 at home.

She was born on March 16, 1936 in Richland Center, WI. She married Donnell Charles Zietlow on June 1, 1957. Together they exalted and magnified the Lord Jesus Christ, which was their intent when they wed.

Surviving are brothers, Jerry (Greda) Hole and Bill (Betty) Hole, sisters Reola Parish, Grenda (Gale) Rugg , and Marcia Rueckheim; children, David (Dixie), Dwight, Susan (Rich) Grandy, Patrice (Jack) McGinnis, Jennifer (Phil) Salansky, and Jonathan (Joy); 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on February 14, 2019, her parents, AJ and Marcelite (Cooper) Hole; and sister, Jacqueline Gander.

Patricia was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ from her youth. While earning a teaching certificate a charming and persuasive Bible salesman, named Don, came calling. Patricia was a strong and industrious wife who worked hard to provide for her husband and family. She was a God-fearing woman who followed her husband’s dreams and enabled many of them to come true.

Pat and Don had a passion for nourishing people spiritually. Therefore, they were active in both their church and in Gideons throughout their adult lives. They thought, “everybody ought to know who Jesus is.” The best gift Pat and Don ever received is the forgiveness and life that God gave them through Jesus Christ. They have now gone to their eternal home to live out what God promised them. They hope each person in their family will join them by receiving the gift of salvation offered through Jesus Christ.

Their second passion was to provide people with physical nourishment. They were involved in several organic enterprises from Sunshower Farm in Lawrence, MI, to Mayneland Farm in Naperville, culminating in the purchase of a beautiful farm, Sweet Terra, in Cashton, WI. Also, they were instrumental in supporting Organic Valley in its formative years.

The family is thankful that Pat and Don were able to be together, near family, especially the last ten months. Thanks also to the staff at Residential Hospice who enabled Pat and Don to be comfortable in their final days. Two Celebration of Life services are being planned for this summer; one in the Chicagoland area, and the other near Norwalk, WI. The theme of these celebrations will be based on Psalm 115:1, “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.” ESV.

Cremation services have been provided by Friedrich-Jones & Overman-Jones. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Gideon’s International https://www.gideons.org/donate.
